I was 1 cm at my 36 week appointment and 60% effaced. At my 38 week appointment I was 4 cm dilated and the doctor could touch the baby's head! I am still pregnant! We haven't checked since but with anyone who's already delivered a baby it's normal to be dilated a bit your entire pregnancy. My first I was 'closed up tight, hard and high with no signs of impending labour' my last checkup 5 days before I delivered., My last OB appointment was last Friday (July 22nd) and my cervix was completely closed. Today my OB checked and I am 2.5 cm dialted adn 70% effaced! She said it was a quick change and she seemed a little surprised., 37 + 2, 1 cm and 70% effaced as of Friday! going back tomorrow for a BP check... Hopefully more ready.
