The CETME L family of rifles continues to expand. Parts kits for the CETME LC (which has substantial internal changes from the standard L models) ran out, but the dream of short barrels live on. New SBR models are incoming with fixed stocks and 12.5″ barrels. This shorter package is reminiscent of the HK-33K.

About a year ago InRangeTV did a series of (very good) tutorial videos on building a CETME-L kit, so check those out to get some insight. I know the L is 5.56 and the C is 7.62NATO, but I am pretty sure the process would be very similar, if not the same. Spare parts can be obtained by purchasing a de-mil parts kit from any one of a number of suppliers for well under $80., About a year ago InRangeTV did a series of (very good) tutorial videos on building a CETME-L kit, so check those out to get some insight. I know the L is 5.56 and the C is 7.62NATO, but I am pretty sure the process would be very similar, if not the same.
