The folks at Knight rifles ( 866-518-4181) said that the original hammer with the conical pointed firing pin is ok to use with the #11 and musket caps.

It replaces the breech plug and nipple with a different breech plug to accept the 209 primers and it replaces the hammer mechanism too. That will really increase the fire to the powder.As far as i know the only difference is the vent liner is not removable in the plug Knight sells.
