The rest would be service carbs. I have seen several 4053 DZ service carbs stamped with early date codes by less than upstanding individuals. Check the castings to confimthe date codes. 1. Rebuilding the Holley carb that came with the car, assuming it replaced the Rochester at some point long ago. Thier will be 2 numbers on the air horn normally, 1 is a date code the other is a LIST number,date code is useless 'cause it doesn't say which decade, list can be referenced through various sources, post it and I'll bet someone will have an answer for you. dave., Apr 14, 2010 · It originally came on a 1965 Z16 Chevelle. It has the GM part number on it of 3878261 EH which is correct for the 1965 Chevelle Z-16 with the 396 engine. However the date code on the carb is 051 which ...
