Because I lock the slide back, then release the slide and move it forward to remove the slide again, and it's already stuck.The safety on the SEC 9 pivots from the front of the safety so you have to push up and down on the rear of the lever to engage it. To put the safety on use your support hand because you're done shooting and it doesn't matter which hand you use. Don't try to be mr.cool like the gun reviewers it's ok to use two hands.So, I have yet to fire the gun, but when you rack the slide and put one in the chamber, it works fine. Rack it again, and the round goes to eject, but gets jammed at an angle and takes a good bit of work to get the round out. Either that, or the round gets stuck completely sideways in the gun. Lately it's been 2-3 times per mag which is pretty bad. I was shooting factory Blazer Brass 115's and 124's as well as my reloads and the problem persisted no matter what ammo I used. It’s pretty obvious why the feed ramp needs to be a smooth, polished surface. The nose of the bullet must slide over and through this concave surface to enter the chamber. If the surface is too rough or is nicked or burred, the bullet can get stuck. However, it’s less apparent why the bolt face needs to be smooth.3. Trigger Stuck. Let’s talk about a particularly annoying issue: a stuck trigger. Trust me, you don’t want to experience this. I was out at the range, got into position, took aim, squeezed the trigger, and felt resistance. Yep, the trigger was stuck. Dec 7, 2017 · Sent it in to Ruger and got it back a week later with a new trigger, springs, etc. Take it to the range the second time and it shoots great. A nice gun to shoot. Problem again. A new problem on a brand new gun. Now it's the slide. With the slide locked back, load a mag into the well, the slide releases and loads the chamber all on its own.
