Have read nearly every post on here related to the issue in similar models. Before noticing the lack of CEL, I thought the problem was related to the fuel pump.

It may be dead or close to dead. If it's below 12.3 volts, replace battery. Even with 10 volts or less on the battery it will still crank, but won't even get close to starting the car (which uses quite a bit of juice). Once powered up, the car will run fine, even restart might be possible with a close to dead battery.

The battery hardly ever gets full unless you are doing a lot of regenerative braking. The software decides when the engine should run and charge the battery if needed.
